Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
Collection Center Information
Please be advised Republic Services will be closing the certified public buyback portion of its Anaheim recycling center until further notice. The buyback center, located at 1071 N. Blue Gum Street, Anaheim, California will officially cease to operate as early as February 15, 2016.

To dispose of household hazardous waste items, take them to the Collection Centers located at 1071 N. Blue Gum St. Anaheim, CA.

Accepted Items
Typical items accepted at the Collection Center include:

  • Antifreeze
  • Batteries
  • Flammables / Combustibles
  • Household chemicals
  • Household items with cathode ray tubes (CRTs)
  • Paint (latex and oil-based)
  • Pesticides / herbicides
  • Used motor oil
  • Used oil filters

Household hazardous wastes are only accepted in original containers and are limited to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.

Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs)
Nearly all computer monitors and televisions contain CRTs. If a CRT is not working properly or if a charitable organization will not accept the item, the Collection Center will accept these items.
