As part of an ongoing effort to improve streets and pedestrian safety, the cities of Placentia and Fullerton have jointly initiated the Placentia Avenue Reconstruction Project to replace pavement on Placentia Avenue between Ruby Drive and Chapman Avenue, reconstruct damaged sidewalks, driveways, curbs and gutters, and ramps to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety as well as improve travel on Placentia Avenue for motorists. Street and sidewalk reconstruction will begin early June 2017, with estimated completion in late August 2017.
What To Expect During Construction
Construction will take place Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During street construction work, one lane in each direction will be open to through traffic, however, there will be extended temporary lanes closures in place. Driveway access may be impeded for those who have only one driveway. Please observe traffic control and advisory signs that will be updated to reflect construction work.
Detour signs will be posted, and residents and businesses can direct their questions to the construction helpline at (714) 442-0010.
