The Placentia City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm and are held in the City Council Chambers of City Hall:

The Placentia City Council also acts as the Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency and as the Board of Directors for the Industrial Commercial Development Agency (ICDA).
