Placentia Tiny Tots
Program Overview
Tiny Tots is an early childhood developmental program in a recreational setting, hosted at Koch Park Recreation Center. The goal of this program is to help prepare children ages 3 to 5 years old for a successful transition into school settings. With a mixed focus on arts and crafts, socialization play, and early education practice, Tiny Tots introduces children to colors, numbers, shapes, letters, and writing, while exploring interpersonal skills such as sharing, taking turns, hearing others, and taking responsibility for actions. Regardless of classroom experience, each child will gain practice with fine motor skills, academic recognition, and social emotional development through daily planned activities involving imagination play, arts, music, and more. While the Tiny Tots program will supply all materials required for classroom activities, families are asked to provide a daily lunch and light snack, a reusable water bottle, and an extra set of clothing. The classroom does feature an age appropriate bathroom, but all children must be completely potty-trained by their first day.
Program Requirements
Parents are required to send their children with a daily lunch, water bottle, and extra clothing in a clear plastic bag labeled with their child's first and last name.
The program provides participating children with supplies/materials needed for all planned activities.
Participating children must be fully potty-trained, and no pull-ups are allowed. Your child will be dropped from the program if they have pull-ups.
Required Documentation
The below documents must be reviewed, signed, and submitted on your child's first day of attendance.
