Placentia Recycle Teen Team

Members and Purpose

The Placentia Recycle Teen Team is a specially selected group of 10 to 12 members between the ages of 14 Teen Team membersto 18.

Members continually increase their knowledge of environmental sustainability in the community by actively participating in special events and educational programs.

Teen Team provides opportunities for community service hours and community involvement.

Events

Teen Team members participate in a number of events, including:

  • Community Clean-Ups
  • Compost Give-Away Day
  • Heritage Festival and Parade
  • Community Presentations
  • Shred It / E-Waste Day
  • Used Oil Collection Events

Tours

Members also engage in tours of various facilities, including:

  • Republic Services' Materials Resource Recovery Facility (MRRF) 
  • Dana Point Ocean Institute
  • Orange County Water District
  • Fullerton Arboretum

How do I apply?

If you wish to become part of the Recycle Placentia Teen you will need to complete an application and meet with the Program Manager. The completed application may be returned via email at recycling@placentia.org or dropped in person to the Public Works Department at City Hall. The City Hall is located at:
401 E Chapman Avenue, Placentia, CA 92870.
