[ARCHIVED] Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, October 24

DEA_TakeBackMark_RGB_0

On Saturday, October 24, from 10 am to 2 pm, the Placentia Police Department and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will provide the public the opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the Civic Center parking lot at 401 East Chapman Avenue. Please note that we cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps, only pills or patches. This service is free and anonymous; no questions asked.

In addition to DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, there are many other ways to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs every day, including the 11,000 authorized collectors available all year long. For more information, visit the DEA’s year-round collection site locator.

With this new partnership, the Placentia Police Department will discontinue the use of the Safe Medication Disposal Box located in the Civic Center Parking lot.
