In partnership with Placentia Super Service, Tokyo Automotive Repair, and Yorba Linda Auto Service, the Placentia Police Department and the City of Placentia invite the public to attend a FREE Catalytic Converter Theft Prevention Event. This event is part of a multifaceted strategy that multiple agencies implemented to address the increase in catalytic converter thefts.
All participants will have their catalytic converter etched with a unique identifying number. This etching will act as a theft deterrent and will provide law enforcement with valuable information should it be stolen and later located by law enforcement personnel during subsequent investigations.
