[ARCHIVED] Draw a Placentia City Council District Map

all american city and seal

The City Council is seeking input in selecting the next district map for the Placentia City Council. You have an opportunity to share with the City Council how you think district boundaries should be drawn to best represent your community.

Redistricting determines which neighborhoods and communities are grouped together into a district for purposes of electing a Council Member. As part of the redistricting process, the California Fair Maps Act includes neighborhoods and "Communities of Interest" as important considerations. California law defines Communities of Interest as "a population that shares common social or economic interests that should be included within a single district for purposes of its effective and fair representation."

To let the City know about your community and what brings it together, share your map and your story. There are different tools for different purposes and different tools for different levels of technical skill and interest. A variety of map-drawing tools will be available on the City's website here.
