Trash Collection Update: Trash Drop-Off Bins Available Beginning December 16th:

Waste and recycling service in the City continues to be temporarily delayed due to a work stoppage at Republic Services, the City's contracted waste hauler. In order to provide limited service during the work stoppage, Republic Services has brought in their national emergency response team. For those in need of disposing of trash during the service delay, the City is providing large roll-off bins at three locations in the City for Placentia residents and businesses. The drop-off locations are listed below and will be available beginning December 16th until 5:00 pm each day. The City will notify residents as soon as we know what time the roll-off bins will be available tomorrow. Residents will need to handle their own refuse. These bins will be for bagged trash only. Please do NOT place bulky items or hazardous materials of any kind in the drop-off bins. If the bin is locked by the time you arrive, please return the next day; do not leave any trash outside of the bins. The City plans to leave the dumpsters at these locations until normal refuse collection operations restart.

Trash Drop-Off Locations:

  • Kraemer Memorial Park, 201 Bradford Avenue
  • Koch Park, 2210 Valencia Avenue
  • Parque de Los Niños, 1701 Atwood Avenue

We appreciate our community’s patience throughout this delay in trash service. In the meantime, we will continue to provide any and all information we are aware of regarding trash service as soon as those details become available.
