Job classifications, including base salary as well as other pay, insurance premiums and pension costs which make up an employee's total compensation for the fiscal year. Other pay includes special assignment pay, bilingual pay, exceptional merit pay, educational incentive pay, senior officer pay, uniform allowance pay, car allowance pay and telecommunication allowance pay. Employees are eligible for other pay as designated by job classification and their MOU. The insurance premiums column includes contributions for medical, dental, vision, life and LTD benefits. Pension rates reflect the City's contribution towards the Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) for each employee. Pension rates are set each year by PERS and are determined by actuarial data.
