Bids and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

When the City has open Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Bids (RFBs), or Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), they will be on the Bids and Proposal page. The documents include instructions for submitting bids and proposals, including deadlines and staff contact information. Please note that submissions for RFPs that are restricted to the pre-qualified list will only be accepted by vendors on the pre-qualified list. If the submission is listed as an electronic-only response, please ensure enough time to enter all the required information before the deadline. The City will not accept and is not responsible for late submissions.

The City of Placentia uses PlanetBids, a centralized online bidding system, for the procurement of its goods, equipment, and services. Centralized purchasing standardizes bidding and evaluation procedures; achieves economy-of-scale benefits; provides consistency in dealing with vendors; and ensures an open, fair, and competitive procurement process.

In order to download documents and/or submit a proposal, you must be registered as a Vendor on Planetbids. Registration is free and only takes a few moments to complete. Once registered on PlanetBids, you will be able to search for bid requests, login to download documents, and bid electronically.
